Located in Northwest quadrant of Washington, DC, Georgetown was founded
in 1751. The city of Georgetown substantially predated the establishment
of the city of Washington and the District of Columbia and its history
has been wonderfully preserved. Georgetown is home to several embassies
and host of historic buildings, markers, and landmarks.
