Charleston’s
historic downtown district has stood throughout Charleston’s history as
the cultural capital of the South. This beautifully preserved city
boasts historic landmarks, including 18th century homes and plantations,
the Battery, museums, art galleries, churches, and the city market. The
city is well-known for its streets lined with grand live oaks draped
with Spanish moss and the Cabbage Palmetto, the state tree of South
Carolina. |
